
Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the successful planning and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Assist with the preparation of monthly progress payment applications and reports.
Coordinate subcontractor and supplier engagement, including soliciting quotes, managing RFPs, preparing contracts, and maintaining communication throughout the project.
May be required to work on-site occasionally, based on operational or business needs.
Maintain accurate and organized document control systems to track RFIs, submittals, transmittals, change orders, purchase orders, and related project documentation.
Monitor and report on project costs using established cost-control systems; assist in the development of cost codes and project budgets.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Perform material take-offs and help prepare quality control plans, site safety plans, and progress reports.
Order materials and coordinate delivery logistics to maintain workflow and project timelines.
Assist in the development and management of project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and Project Superintendent, the APM plays a critical role in maintaining efficient project workflows, ensuring document control, facilitating communication across all stakeholders, and supporting the timely and on-budget delivery of construction projects.
Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, B2W, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
Periodic and relatively short-term travel will be required on out-of-town projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with cost tracking, contract administration, and construction scheduling preferred.
College diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
