Maintain and retrieve all food items from the kitchen and attractively and safely transport them to an outlet.
Assist bartenders in opening and closing duties.
Keep all tables cleaned and properly set according to property specific standards.
Maintain bars and service stations clean and neat.
Assist fellow employees as needed throughout the shift.
Assist servers and bartenders in table-side service of beverages, and bread and butter.
Clear and clean tables after guests depart.
Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to the current meal period.

Use guest names for all guests as guest name becomes known.
Assist bartenders with requisitions for all beverages.
Assist in the breakdown of side stations, bar and back of the house areas.
Maintain beverage levels in glasses/cups on table at least ¾ full at all times (coffee, tea, soda, lemonade, and water).
Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests.
Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees.
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom area according to established standards.
Ensure clean, neat and organized work areas and side stations.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Recognize regular guests and to greet them by their name.
Provide service to guests in server’s or bartender’s absence as needed.
Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Deliver supplies to the bar.
Stock linen, china, silver and glassware for service.
Complete all tasks with utmost concern for safety of fellow employees and equipment.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
Properly set a table and carry a tray.
Supply ice to all bars.
Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
Assist bartenders in service bars when possible.
Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist.
Work closely and communicate with the kitchen staff.
Ensure all silver equipment is in good condition and polished.
Answer the phone in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
