- Proactively connects with other disciplines to produce a fully coordinated project
- Development of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Develop conceptual and preliminary studies and reports
- Prepare specifications for bidding and construction
- Review contractor plans and shop submittals
- Evaluation, programming review, design of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for Water/Wastewater treatment facilities
- Select instruments necessary for equipment automation, and select appropriate instrument technology
- Outline SCADA requirements and functionality
- Control system startup, testing, troubleshooting, process optimization; design control system network architectures and interfaces
- Conduct field visits to review contractor’s work and gain resolution of field-related problems
- Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) control narratives

- Works efficiently and independently on multiple projects while meeting budgets and schedules
- Experience also using Revit or AutoCAD preferred
- Uses effective time management and detail-orientation skills
- BS Degree in related Engineering field of study
- Possesses excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Control System Engineer (CSE) preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite + Bluebeam required
- Minimum of 4 years of directly related engineering work experience required
- Prior experience in the Water/Wastewater industry strongly preferred
- EIT Certification required
