Perform and check drainage calculations, drainage studies, drainage folders, drainage quantities and summaries.
May assist with the preparation of proposals.
Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
Attend project meetings and may present specific aspects of engineering assignment.
May coordinate the work of other engineers and/or technicians who assist in specific assignments.
Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
Gathers data and information required in the drainage design of transportation facilities.
Follows all inhouse procedures related to documentation of designs, process flow, filing, etc.
Keeps current with the current technology used in field (software, means, process, etc).
Actively participates in the marketing process by delivering quality work, providing excellent client service and assisting with project pursuits and CRM efforts.
Assists the project manager in coordination with the client, subconsultants and staff.

Ability to work in groups. Flexibility.
Good communication, multitasking, attentiveness to detail.
Keeps current with the engineering profession in theory and practice, especially in the area of specialty.
Experience with ORD Drainage, HECRAS (including scour analysis), STORMCAD, HY8 and other drainage software utilized by KYTC Highway Design Drainage Branch preferred.
Willingness to learn new skills and interface with multiple project managers.
Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
