The Safety Specialist supports the company’s environmental, health, and safety initiatives by overseeing program execution across assigned sites, working with limited supervision.
- Implement and administer corporate and site‑specific EHS programs and plans.
- Conduct orientation and basic safety trainings.
- Educate, coach, and mentor employees through classroom sessions, meetings, and job walks.
- Perform regular site inspections and observations, providing coaching on safe work practices.
- Document findings, compile reports, analyze data, and track progress.
- Maintain long‑term EHS files and records.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, field supervision, and leadership to ensure program implementation.
- Represent safety in meetings and pre‑task planning sessions.
- Conduct environmental sampling using dosimeters, light meters, multi‑gas meters, etc.
- Coordinate emergency response, provide care for injured employees, investigate incidents, compile reports, and track corrective actions.

Applicants should have a background in safety or a related field and be prepared for the physical demands of the job, including occasional travel and the ability to lift moderate loads.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, or safety, or high school diploma with five years relevant experience.
- 0–6 months experience with a bachelor’s degree or five years experience with a high school diploma.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
