The Procurement Analyst role focuses on purchasing general materials and construction supplies, issuing purchase orders, releasing material from existing orders, and expediting deliveries to keep projects moving.
Key duties include reviewing field requisitions, releasing material from blanket purchase orders while maintaining logs, securing vendor quotations, preparing RFQ/RFP invitations, leveling quotations, and generating submittal information for requested commodities. The analyst also issues change orders, expedites deliveries, manages returns, reviews and approves invoices, and coordinates with vendors and accounts payable to resolve issues.
The position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of purchasing or related experience in the electrical industry, which may be met through a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Successful candidates are proficient with Microsoft Office, have strong verbal and written communication skills, can prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude. They are self‑motivated, proactive team players who interact professionally with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.
