Tooling Group Leader

Description

• Monitor team’s skill and training needs. Report findings to management.
• Provide training for team members, including but not limited to job functions, safety, and quality.
• Communicate with leadership, production control, fellow technicians and support all personnel to sustain proper workflow to meet daily goals.
• Collect and document data of tool diagnosis, root cause of tool malfunction, repairs performed, and components consumed for repair.
• Adjust daily work plan for expedites and priorities as dictated by leadership or customer service.
• Provide hands-on assistance in any team function when needed.
• In the Managers absence, provide backup for inquiries from customer service, salespeople and leadership.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to train team members in a variety of tools and their repair processes.
• Must understand and be familiar with the functionality of hydraulic tools.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Must be able to clearly and effectively present information to other employees and customers.
• Must be mechanically minded and have the ability to use hand and power tools.
• Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and drawings.
• Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding of detailed short internal and external correspondence.
