Lead national bridge engineering, manage team, develop business, oversee projects
Assist other staff in team situations and actively share technical knowledge and expertise;
Provide vision and leadership to team members;
Organising business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation of proposals;
Lead contract negotiations including variations, claims and commercial disputes, and ensure fulfilment of contract negotiations;
Developing new and maintaining existing client relationships;
Planning, organizing, and leading projects teams in the delivery, design, and documentation of project requirements;
Mentoring and development of technical staff;
Approval of employee time, expenses and other management functions needed for day-to-day operations.
Hiring and expanding the team;
Liaising with other business sectors leaders within and outside of the organization; and,
Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
Track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects on time and to budget.
A relevant degree in civil engineering;
Understanding of design and analysis of bridges and civil structures for public and private infrastructure
Project management and technical leadership across various multi-disciplined projects;
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally);
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments.
Experience and interest in business development initiatives, and in the development and maintenance of client relations;
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards in current engineering and construction principles, methods and practices; in particular for TMR, Vicroads, TfNSW and with Australian Standards;
Extensive industry experience as a Bridge Engineer recognised by clients at state level;
Flexible in attitude and ability to both lead or direct a group of technical staff;
Professional Engineer registered with Engineers Australia or other relevant country registration; RPEV, CPEng and RPEQ highly desirable
