Description

The EHS Director is a strategic leader responsible for risk intervention, mitigation, and the management of EHS systems and data across CRB. The role oversees programs including Trade Partner Pre‑Qualifications, commercial risk reduction, central audit functions, and company‑wide EHS management systems. By integrating lessons‑learned mechanisms, feedback loops, and advanced analytics, the Director drives continuous improvement, robust risk management, and operational excellence.

• Lead EHS hazard and risk life‑cycle interventions, including trade‑partner pre‑qualifications and commercial phase risk reduction.
• Operate a centralized EHS audit function to assess and report performance at projects and office locations.
• Coordinate EHS project risk assessments with central support groups during active projects and proposal phases.
• Ensure trade‑partner pre‑qualification criteria are measured, evaluated, and reported to regional management and the EHS VP.
• Develop a formal feedback process from audits to improve constructability plans and design‑for‑safety with engineering teams.
• Supervise technical EHS specialists in field deployments, audits, and trade‑partner pre‑qualification oversight.
• Maintain and operate a central EHS management system for continuous performance improvement.
• Manage the EHS data platform, statistical reports, and reporting systems, including policies, standards, and communications.
• Coordinate measurement systems to collect and analyze project EHS KPIs.
• Integrate EHS business processes into documentation and commercial contracts.
• Provide input to client‑qualification third‑party platforms.
• Support workers‑compensation programs through the captive insurance program.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to create technical and compliance‑based EHS training programs and content.

Requirements

The role demands extensive experience in occupational safety, health, or environmental fields, strong leadership abilities, and a track record of strategic risk management.

• Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or environmental field, supervisory experience, and at least fifteen years of relevant experience.
• Preferred certifications: CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM.
• Required skills: exceptional communication, tact, diplomacy, analytical and strategic thinking, and proficiency with mobile devices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and knowledge of case management/worker’s comp.
