USV Operator (ROV experience)

Description

• Use sonar, acoustic positioning, and navigational aids to support accurate navigation and task execution.
• Record dive data and system performance, ensuring all logs and documentation are complete and compliant.
• Pilot the USV safely to work sites, maintaining spatial awareness and monitor vessel positioning.
• Assist in fault diagnosis, spare parts ordering, and reporting of system deficiencies in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete eROV operations including launch and recovery from the USV, piloting and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain USV systems in line with planned maintenance schedules and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Electrical background, communications & networking.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and comply with international and national maritime regulations.
• Familiarity with planned maintenance procedures and fault diagnosis on marine systems.
• Confident in documenting operations, reporting hazards, and maintaining accurate dive logs.
• Experience with smaller ROV’s.
• IMCA accredited ROV Training.
• Prior experience operating ROVs or USV’s in offshore or remote environments.
