The position of Superintendent (Supervisor) involves operating a self‑propelled machine that places curb and gutter, median safety barriers, or bridge rail on construction sites. The role requires precise control of equipment, coordination with concrete‑pouring crews, and ensuring that all work meets engineering specifications.
Key duties include aligning the machine with lasers and grade rods, adjusting the screed to achieve the required width and height, and signaling truck drivers to position their vehicles and direct concrete flow. The incumbent also inspects formwork for accuracy, conducts routine lubrication and greasing of the equipment, and makes necessary mechanical adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
Candidates must adhere to Ferrovial’s safety policies, report hazards promptly, and contribute to team goals through leadership and knowledge sharing. While a high school diploma is not mandatory, at least three years of related construction experience is preferred, and the ability to perform heavy physical labor and possess fine manual dexterity is essential.
Work is performed outdoors under varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and windy environments, often at noisy and elevated sites. Prospective employees must successfully complete E‑Verify, drug screening, a medical examination, and background checks; all applicant information is handled confidentially. Ferrovial is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
