Learning and Development Specialist

Description

• Facilitate training through video modules, live virtual sessions, and in-person workshops.
• Expand and manage the catalog of Fortune-Johnson University programs.
• Support compliance training and technical skill development initiatives.
• Administer the company’s LMS: upload, assign, and manage training content.
• Monitor participation, track completions, and generate reporting dashboards for leadership.
• Maintain and update training content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards.
• Use engaging methods that enhance learning retention and application.
• Deliver training tailored to diverse audiences, including field staff, office personnel, and technical specialists.
• Design and produce training materials, including manuals, SOPs, videos, e-learning modules, and job aids.
• Provide recommendations for improving LMS functionality and learner engagement.
• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to document and translate construction processes into clear training resources.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure training aligns with business strategy and workforce needs.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and e-learning authoring tools.
• Skilled in balancing LMS administration with curriculum development.
• 2–5 years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning & development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Comfortable on camera and in live facilitation environments.
• Construction or technical industry background strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Construction Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• Creative, learner-focused approach to training design and facilitation.
• Ability to simplify technical or construction-related concepts into clear, actionable training.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
