Employees are expected to analyse information, organise tasks, anticipate issues and refer decisions appropriately, while demonstrating reliability, professionalism and cultural awareness. Teamwork is essential, as staff may encounter physically or emotionally challenging situations.
Essential requirements include an understanding of older people’s needs, including dementia, the ability to provide personal care, basic IT proficiency and a Care Certificate or willingness to obtain one. Desirable qualifications are First Aid, food hygiene and manual handling training. Duties must comply with the Trust’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy. St Monica Trust is a registered charity and not‑for‑profit dedicated to communities where older people flourish. We provide retirement villages, specialist care homes and support services that enable residents to enjoy treasured relationships, exercise choice and feel valued. Employees benefit from a generous pension, life assurance, at least 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, retail discounts, subsidised gym and restaurant, free parking and, in some villages, affordable on‑site accommodation.
We are recruiting four part‑time (20‑hour) domiciliary care workers at £12.87 per hour to deliver a quality care service for residents living in our designated retirement villages. The role contributes to enriching residents’ lives by providing comprehensive personal care, social support and assistance with daily tasks.
The St Monica Trust provides accommodation, care and support for older people in and around Bristol. The Trust supports a wide variety of people with different needs through our innovative retirement villages and care homes. In addition, our charitable foundation supports older people in the wider region through grants to individuals and partner organisations. We’re committed to communities where older people flourish and for us this means providing opportunities for our residents to enjoy treasured relationships, exercise choice and feel valued. We call these our three C’s – Connection, Contribution, and Choice.
