The role supports environmental and employee health & safety activities, including developing policies to mitigate hazards, investigating accidents and incidents, and liaising with engineers, management and regulatory authorities to prevent recurrence.
Reporting to the HSE Lead, you will conduct daily HSE patrols, report unsafe conditions, handle accident investigations, maintain records of injuries and first‑aid cases, coordinate safety committee meetings, organize safety campaigns, ensure MSDS availability, audit fire‑fighting and first‑aid equipment, and prepare monthly safety reports for the Unit Head.
- Develop and implement policies to identify and mitigate workplace and environmental hazards.
- Investigate accidents and environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and advice to employees and conduct compliance audits.
- Maintain records of first aid, medical treatment, lost‑time injuries, disabling injuries and fatalities.
- Coordinate unit safety committee meetings and facilitate safety campaigns and competitions.
- Ensure availability and communication of MSDS for all chemicals used in the plant.
- Perform periodic audits of firefighting and first‑aid equipment and report findings monthly.
- Prepare and discuss reports on safety, environmental surveys, risk assessments, and emergency plans.
- Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal HSE procedures and guidelines.

As an Entry Professional (P1) you will apply broad theoretical knowledge gained through advanced education, work under close supervision, and explain facts, policies and practices related to the job area.
- Hold a B.Tech/B.Sc/Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical) with an advanced or post‑diploma in Industrial Safety.
- Possess 2‑5 years of experience in HSE within manufacturing, process safety or construction safety.
- Demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English.
