Administration of insolvent debt processes throughout the entire journey, preparing the supply points through to re-entering solvent debt management or for exit off supply.
Managing relationships across a number of teams and partnerships to co-ordinate various activities enabling prompt insolvency management. Examples include, contract management, billing, sales, credit, commercial and finance.
Account management, including cash collection for live supplies and query resolution.
Management and administration of solvent debt processes within recovery practices or imminently progressing to insolvency, such as Receivership or Proposal To Strike Off (PTSO). Support the wider Debt arena on utilising insolvency tools for escalated collections.
Challenge directors’ behaviours to help steer effective insolvency management, both internally and by the Insolvency Practitioner.
Represent the company at Creditor’s meetings – virtually, by proxy and in person; to ensure an active voice and reflective voting power.
Prompt discussion with Insolvency Practitioners, solicitors, agents etc to progress necessary measures to protect our exposures.
Perform full and extensive investigation of insolvency cases, identifying root cause, common trends and issues, driving positive business process or policy change and continuous improvement.
Maintain a strong internal (and external partnership) network enabling processes to be operationally effective. To act as an expert and point of contact to management and other business areas with regards to insolvency related issues.
End to End case management; identification of insolvencies, management of supply to correct entities (based on contract / deemed provisions, ownership and occupation etc), timely Change of Occupier (COO) processing, final billing through to account closure.
Pursuing Insolvency Practitioners, Monitors and Supervisors for cash, especially in relation to continuation of supply, and removing payment blockers.

Understand and interpret external legislation, regulation and policy, alongside internal working practices, for effective case management of the nBS insolvent portfolio.
Appropriately applied insolvency legislation, that minimises risks and exposure and enhances commercial returns.

Strong influencer and a communicator with an adaptive style to ensure the best interests of the business can be explored and presented.
Ability to analyse, interpret and apply complex information and articulate in a clear and succinct manner to a wide audience of stakeholders, making recommendations.
Professional qualifications (ACICM level through the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, or insolvency alternative such as ICAEW) with detailed knowledge and experience in insolvency or legal practices.
