The Division Finance Manager is a strategic financial leader who supports the various Business Sectors within BKF. This role blends full‑cycle contract and project accounting expertise with forward‑looking business partnership, acting as a liaison between Finance and Executive Leadership to drive performance and mentor staff.
In the area of financial management, the manager oversees contract financial administration and project accounting, monitors division‑level performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, and facilitates monthly financial reviews with sector leadership. They also lead annual budgeting and reforecasting, ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost tracking, and coordinate accounts receivable collection to improve cash flow.
As a business partner, the manager translates financial results into operational terms for leaders, influences decision‑making and resource allocation, and promotes adoption of corporate KPIs across sectors. They collaborate with Operations to streamline processes and lead the integration of project delivery during mergers and acquisitions.
The role includes developing, mentoring, and leading a team of Project Accountants, standardizing month‑end closing, billing, and compliance practices, and driving process‑improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls. The manager also supports training to enhance project managers’ financial acumen and accountability.
Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, and at least ten years of progressive finance experience in engineering, planning, architecture, or construction management. Candidates must have a strong foundation in project accounting, contract administration, ERP systems, and advanced Excel modeling, as well as proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Key competencies include a strategic mindset balanced with detail orientation, strong leadership and team‑building skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, results‑driven multitasking under deadlines, and high ethical standards with a commitment to financial integrity.
Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $155,000 and includes exempt status, bi‑weekly pay, end‑of‑year bonuses, profit sharing, and 401(k).
