The Cleaner works the 2nd shift under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, performing a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Work is guided by established standards, instructions, and procedures of the company.
Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines, as well as vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas. The role also involves dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, and other horizontal surfaces, cleaning interior glass, windowsills, and door trims, and maintaining bathroom cleanliness by restocking supplies and sanitizing fixtures. Additional responsibilities include collecting building trash, replacing liners, monitoring for defects such as clogged urinals or lighting issues, and removing snow from entrances and walkways as directed. Periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing are also performed.
No prior cleaning experience is required, but the candidate must be able to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team. Ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, including portable backpack vacuums, is essential. The position demands attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, strong organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
