- Manage GIS software installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and integration, including ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Provide technical expertise on database security, performance, and GIS-related architectural design.
- Deploy geospatial data updates within specified timelines and service level agreements.
- Support backend development for geospatial applications, including ETL scripts (e.g., Python, FME).
- Ensure system backups and high availability in coordination with server administrators.
- Develop and document database architecture, interdependencies, and operational processes.
- Automate processes to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies for database access and permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve GIS system issues, including after-hours incidents as needed.
- Maintain and optimize geospatial databases, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose upgrades to software, hardware, and system configurations.

- Experience managing GIS data layers with version control and working with enterprise geodatabases.
- Experience developing spatial data ETL scripts and tools using Python, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise setup, configuration, and administration.
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to prepare and present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years of experience in GIS database management.
- Hands-on experience implementing GIS within cloud-based database solutions and migrations to the cloud.
- Strong understanding of spatial data modeling, GIS server tuning, and web-based geospatial applications.
- Expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other RDBMS, and proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
