The designer will manage engineering design review and analysis assignments, ranging from major projects to smaller, less complex ones, applying conventional oil & gas knowledge. Responsibilities include preparing electrical engineering documents and drawings in coordination with the Discipline Manager.
Key duties involve preparing the engineering document deliverable register, coordinating interdisciplinary design submissions, and ensuring compliance with client, contractual, health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. The role also requires overseeing material take‑offs, as‑built preparation, and resolution of technical queries with clients.
Candidates must be proficient with SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Instrumentation, Smart Plant Review, Smart Sketch, PDS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, DIALux, and Microsoft Office, including macro development and fast formatting. Expertise in these tools is essential for design, execution, and as‑built activities.
The ideal applicant holds an engineering degree (BSc or Diploma) and at least five years of O&G design experience, preferably with FEED and EPC projects for ADNOC. Fluency in English is required, Arabic is a plus, and strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving skills are valued.
