The position involves conducting simulations and analytical studies, preparing simulation models, and executing power system studies such as EMTP, dynamic network simulations for HVDC, FACTS, and inverter‑based generation, as well as grid compliance assessments for wind, solar, BESS and hybrid projects. Responsibilities also include leading consulting and R&D studies, analyzing results, preparing technical reports, responding to RFPs, and mentoring junior staff while delivering client presentations and training.
- Conduct power system simulations and analytical studies for transmission and distribution networks, including load, generation interconnection, and renewable integration.
- Prepare and execute EMTP studies such as energisation, temporary over‑voltage, switching, lightning, ferro‑resonance, and VFTO analyses.
- Perform dynamic simulations involving HVDC, FACTS, and inverter‑based generation, and grid compliance studies for wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid projects.
- Lead consulting, research, and development projects; analyze results and recommend solutions to clients.
- Produce detailed study reports, technical documentation, and respond to RFPs with proposals and man‑hour estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and deliver training courses on subject‑matter expertise.
- Present study findings to clients and stakeholders.

Proficiency in system study tools like PSCAD, DIgSILENT, ETAP, PSSE, MATLAB/Simulink, along with competent Python coding, knowledge of transmission protection settings, and experience in traction simulation studies are required.
- Hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in system study software (PSCAD, DIgSILENT, ETAP, PSSE, MATLAB/Simulink) and competent in Python programming.
- Knowledge of protection settings for transmission systems and experience with traction simulation studies.
