Maintenance of ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, or ICC certifications in the disciplines of soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry
Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations
Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
Performing field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete
Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues
Performing basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results

Ability to frequently drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver’s license with good-standing driving record
Ability to apply basic mathematical formulas and concepts to calculate quantities, estimate volumes, inspect constructed work, make recommendations in the field and to perform calculations for field and laboratory tests and equipment
12+ months of relevant experience
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid driver’s license and good-standing driving record
Ability to work in environments containing dust and fumes
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams to achieve goals
Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to occasionally bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, and pull
Ability to continuously stand and walk throughout the day
Some construction experience is required. Prior experience in Field testing is preferred.
Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis
