Global greentech firm delivering Waste‑to‑Energy and Renewable Gas plants, services, and turnkey EPC projects.
The Operations & Maintenance Oversight role is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of metal recovery facilities, guaranteeing consistent uptime, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness. It includes designing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to extend asset lifespan and minimise downtime. Continuous performance monitoring and process improvement initiatives are also key components of the position.
Ensuring regulatory adherence is a core duty; the incumbent must keep facilities compliant with local, national, and international environmental, safety, and operational standards and incorporate any regulatory updates. Environmental management involves monitoring emissions and waste metrics to meet sustainability targets. Safety compliance requires the implementation and enforcement of KVI safety protocols to prevent incidents.
Leadership responsibilities encompass directing and mentoring operations and maintenance teams while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The role also involves developing and delivering training on best practices, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Coordination with finance, acquisition, and sustainability departments, as well as regular reporting to senior management and external stakeholders, supports overall asset‑management goals.
Risk management includes conducting regular risk assessments, identifying potential operational or compliance hazards, and applying mitigation strategies. The manager oversees incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, with an MBA, CAS, or PMP/IPMA certification viewed as a plus. They bring at least 10 years of engineering, operations, construction, and maintenance experience, including five years in a renewable energy or waste‑to‑energy environment. Proficiency with asset‑management systems, maintenance planning tools, and knowledge of metal‑recovery or WtE technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential for presenting complex information clearly. The role demands a proactive mindset to anticipate operational issues and stay current with evolving regulatory requirements. Applications from HR agencies are not accepted.
