Reporting to the Machining & Salvage Team Leader, the permanent CNC Machinist will perform milling, turning, grinding and boring operations while interpreting engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools. The role supports the growth of salvage capabilities and technology to generate cost‑saving benefits for the business.
- Operate, set up, and back up CNC machines, including tool changes and DTI checks.
- Inspect first‑off parts using micrometers and Vernier calipers.
- Train new operators and perform routine maintenance and 5S activities.
- Collaborate with other areas to develop improvements and cost‑saving solutions.
- Assist with purchasing, tool design, and coordination with service engineers.

Applicants must demonstrate previous CNC operation and programming experience, the ability to read technical drawings, develop tooling, and work with service engineers. Strong problem‑solving, planning, organisational and communication skills are required, as well as a self‑motivated, team‑oriented attitude and a commitment to safety and quality.
