Supporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required
Ensure designs are compliant with the relevant Legislation and technical standards
Managing a team of designers
Producing technical reports
Manage any design variations on projects
Provide technical support on MOBs as needed within SGN
Work with the Building Safety Regulator, Local Authorities and other 3rd parties on planning and approval of designs
Continual development of design processes and documentation

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or equivalent experience with a commitment to attaining accreditation)
You will ideally have experience of managing staff
Experience in Engineering Design is highly desirable
The role will require some travel around the UK, therefore you must have a valid driving licence
You must be able to demonstrate a history of successfully delivering projects, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong technical knowledge and understanding of the gas network
Highly motivated with a flexible approach
Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines
