Concrete Construction Project Manager

Description

This position serves as the overall Project Leader for the jobs in which they are involved. Responsibilities range from oversite/execution of: project set up, project buy out, contract execution and compliance, material and equipment procurement, daily progress tracking, Project safety compliance, material and equipment invoice approval, manpower timesheet approval, responsible for project sequencing and scheduling, maintaining and updating schedules, coordination and communication with GC, extra work and change order distribution/tracking, coordination with Operation managers to secure adequate manpower, weekly cost report job forecasting, overall project fiscal responsibility.

• Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems.
• Operates within the organization's formal and informal structures, builds allies and relationships across departments, uses allies to build consensus and create results, is appropriately diplomatic, understands others' roles and perspectives, can sell projects and ideas across the organization.
• Establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures, defines roles and responsibilities, acquires project resources, coordinates projects throughout company, monitors project progress, and manages multiple projects.
• Develop basic change order estimate pricing
• Working with upper management to provide feedback and continue to develop company operation procedures and policies.
• Job cost spread and estimate review
• Project cost reporting
• Mentoring Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Project sequencing and scheduling
• Knows and projects costs to complete accurately. Proactively adjusts budgets and develops solutions to maximize profits.
• Change order request issuance/tracking
• Inspires and stimulates the best efforts of subordinates in the accomplishment of identified goals.

• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.

• Ability to identify, assimilate and comprehend the critical elements of a situation to extract and interpret implications of courses of actions to attend to details of a problem.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required
• Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
• 10+ years of experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
