Project Lead

The Project Lead will provide operations support. The Project Lead will be responsible for estimation of projects, coordinating with Outside Sales Representatives, Drafting, and Engineering to compose and provide customer submittal packages, providing supporting documentation for production scheduling, and collaborate with Transportation for product delivery.

• Planning and Priority Setting – Identifies the priorities, processes, and practical actions that are necessary to achieve an objective or an idea. This requires developing detailed action or project plans, including objectives, accountabilities, time frames, standards, review stages, and contingencies.
• Quality Focus – Ensures that all work in one’s own area of the business, throughout the organization, by vendors, suppliers, etc. is performed with excellence and to high standards for quality and integrity.
• Obtain and review vendor material pricing.
• Communicating – Provides the information required by others in a concise, direct, and unambiguous way. They perceive how the message affects the receiver and strive to ensure that the receiver clearly understands the specifics and function of the message.
• Estimating multiple projects and providing proposals prior to bid date.
• Managing multiple sales orders concurrently.
• Communicating with the Transportation department for product deliveries.
• Organization and monitoring of project status.
• Coordinating and creating with Engineering and Production for submittal and production documents.
• Provide direction and oversight to Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Transportation, Procurement, and Accounting.
• Information Seeking – Driven by an underlying curiosity and desire to know more about things, people, or issues. This involves going beyond routine questions and includes digging or pressing for exact information; resolving discrepancies by asking a series of questions; or conducting environmental scanning for opportunities or miscellaneous information that may be used in the future.
• Prepare change order proposals, as required.

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Experience within the construction or precast concrete industry
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to review and utilize production schematics and engineering drawings.
