  • Write technical reports, including recommendations, based on energy modelling results.
  • Develop energy models that comply with current codes and environmental certification requirements.
  • Propose integrated strategies to improve energy efficiency, air quality and thermal comfort in buildings.
  • Carry out life-cycle cost analyses to assess the cost effectiveness of energy-saving measures.
  • Perform energy modelling and analyze carbon emissions to evaluate building performance and optimize design choices.
  • Prepare regulatory and compliance documentation, including for CNEB and environmental certifications.
  • Carry out energy and water audits to identify ways to reduce resource consumption in existing buildings.
  • Effectively communicate results and recommendations to clients, project teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for environmental certifications such as LEED, Zero Carbon Building and BOMA BEST.
  • Recommend energy consumption optimization strategies and decarbonization solutions tailored to projects.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in energy modelling and building performance analysis
  • Proficiency in energy simulation software such as IES-VE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus and RETScreen Expert
  • University degree in building engineering, building science, mechanical engineering or related field
  • Solid knowledge of sustainable development, energy system design, energy simulation and management, as well as grant and incentive programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Valid Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) designation
  • Bilingualism in French and English, an asset, to participate in projects across Canada.
