Provide support on engineering projects as directed
Responsible for making sure that all laboratory work performed meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set forth in the quality manual and testing standards.
Responsible for the quality of all lab work performed in the Geotechnical department. This will include but is not limited to technical oversight for lab testing, review of all labs technical reports, coordination with other supervising staff, performing quality audits, ensuring quality assurance and quality control plans are being implemented and provide recommendations or corrective actions on non-compliance issues.
Communicate test results to client when required
Document work performed by number of tests or time spent, as appropriate
Assist other personnel at the direction of manager
Perform advanced testing under the supervision of senior staff
Perform basic laboratory testing
Responsible for making sure that laboratory has the appropriate resources in place to execute testing per applicable standards. This includes but is not limited to acquiring and maintains equipment, hiring and training new staff, evaluating and training existing staff, cross training, reviewing all lab reports, client coordination, resolving conflicts, coordination with other departments and administrative requirements.
