Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
Informing the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
Removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work.
Follow direction of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Communicating with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites.
Setting up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas.
Assisting the construction crew in the removal of rubble, debris, and hazardous materials.
Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
Recording the license plate numbers of motorists who neglect to obey traffic signs and directions.
Follow MUTCD or governing traffic standards.

Must be able to adapt and work in extreme weather temperatures.
Ability to withstand physical demands associated with heavy highway construction.
Effective communication skills.
The following motions will be required: walking, standing, reaching and squatting - these will occupy most of workday.
Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
Proven experience working as a Flagger.
Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
Exceptional observation skills.
Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Valid Driver’s License preferred.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
