Construction Engineer Student Intern & Co-Op

Description

• Expedite, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
• Update drawing revisions and post construction change bulletins.
• Organize and estimate change orders, including subcontractor pricing and quantity takeoffs.
• Evaluate field issues, draft sketches, submit and track RFIs to resolve discrepancies.
• Update, print, and distribute project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar.
• Produce miscellaneous sketches and drawings for field use, using hand or CAD methods.
• Prepare project closeout documents, update as‑built drawings, and manage warranties and O&M manuals.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow‑up actions for weekly coordination meetings.
• Monitor subcontractors’ schedule compliance, manpower, quality, and specification adherence.
• Manage material deliveries: log, schedule, track shipments, inspect, label, and store items.
• Compile back‑charge and extra‑work tickets with labor/material cost summaries and obtain approvals.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by project managers or superintendents.

Interns must be currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
