The role partners closely with peers in Grid Systems Integration, Power Transmission, Power Conversion & Storage, the Chief Strategy & Technology Officer and the segment CEO to define the ANZ strategy. In collaboration with Business Line commercial leaders, the person defines and leads the ANZ Country Plan, covering key customers, value propositions, strategic account plans, order‑intake targets, ventures, offerings and product qualifications.
The individual establishes strong C‑suite relationships with existing and prospective customers, identifies new market opportunities and emerging trends, and contributes to business development in core markets (Power Grid, Power‑to‑X) and adjacent sectors such as offshore wind, hydrogen, CCS, LNG, nuclear and defense where applicable.
They own early‑stage country setup and activation, steering upstream phases of opportunities from market scan to RFP issuance, and coordinate cross‑Business‑Line integrated offers and in‑country activities across the ANZ footprint. The role also oversees local legal entity alignment, ensuring compliance with regulations and operational consistency.
The role participates in regional governance mechanisms, sharing market insights, pipeline visibility and competitive intelligence with Business Lines, aligning country ambition with growth strategies, and providing regular feedback on key‑account development. It also contributes to bi‑annual strategic‑plan reviews, embeds commercial topics into operating mechanisms, aligns with Global Account Manager activities, and represents Electrification Systems on GE Vernova country councils.
Key profile requirements are a proven business track record in ANZ with upstream business shaping experience, background in electrification, power conversion or grid technologies, familiarity with the local utility ecosystem, and the ability to articulate engineering‑based value propositions. The candidate must be highly autonomous, entrepreneurial, technically conversant, able to collaborate across regions, and possess strong influencing skills with senior stakeholders. Experience in industrial or project‑based environments, a structured mindset for regional strategic planning, and fluency in English are required; prior P&L or entity leadership is advantageous.
