• Ensure all design work complies with applicable industry standards.

An established manufacturer of special purpose machinery is seeking a highly experienced Lead Design Engineer. This strategic but hands on role includes the potential to head the design department, lead innovative engineering projects, and mentor junior team members.

• Scope to move into a departmental leadership position.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work hands-on and guide projects from concept to completion.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
• At least 8 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in special-purpose machinery.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks).
