The primary objective is to deliver project controls across infrastructure programmes, leading the controls function and monitoring plans, cost, safety, environment and performance. The manager will also deploy the controls team resources efficiently.
The role involves establishing control processes in line with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), reviewing new project proposals, developing realistic resource plans, and identifying resourcing needs. It also includes providing day‑to‑day reporting support to programme and project managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance.
The company is seeking Project Controls Managers for major infrastructure projects in London and the South East, ideally with experience in rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence sectors.
Candidates must have experience in planning and scheduling, strong oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with PC operating systems, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office. An intermediate understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start‑up processes, as well as knowledge of engineering and construction management, is required.
