Description

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions to complex problems, and mentors both service and contract technicians.

Key duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, leading and auditing preventative‑maintenance programs, installing and servicing control components such as relay logic, ladder diagrams, motor starters and sensors, and creating accurate work orders with labor and parts data. The role also involves building positive relationships across the facility, developing training and emergency‑repair work plans, and traveling up to 20 % of the time while standing or walking for shifts of up to 12 hours.

• Promote safety by following all procedures and standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building conveyor systems.
• Lead and audit preventative‑maintenance programs.
• Install, maintain, and service relay logic, ladder diagrams, motor starters, sensors and other control components.
• Create and close work orders with detailed labor, equipment, and parts data.
• Develop training plans and emergency‑repair work plans for service technicians.
• Perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching and twisting in various environments.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high‑school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of preventative‑maintenance experience, 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics, and 2+ years of work‑order management. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or higher in mechanical/electrical fields, 5+ years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership and vendor‑management experience, and familiarity with robotic maintenance, MHE safety standards, and CMMS tools. Physical demands involve repetitive motions, lifting up to 49 lb, standing on concrete for 10+‑hour shifts, and working in confined, dusty or noisy environments.

• Travel up to 20 % and work 12‑hour shifts, standing or walking as needed.
