QA engineer

Description

• Prepares and reviews the project quality documents, procedure, ITP
• Monitors the inspection and documentation activities of QA Inspector to ensure complain with inspection test plan and project quality requirements
• Performs E&I related Equipment and material inspection during receiving meet the purchase specifications
• Resolves quality related issues arising from sub-contractor and in-house production
• Ensures protection and preservation of Electrical & Instrument system
• Administers the project internal quality audit to ensure compliance with the project quality plan
• Coordinates the testing/ commissioning requirements with Engineering, Project Manager, QA Department, and vendors
• Liaises with owners, class surveyors and government bodies pertaining to project requirements
• Ensures updates on electrical completion and mechanical completion progress at the project database
• Reviews technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standard pertaining to the project requirements
• Reviews drawings, documents & weekly updated drawing register from document controller and distribute to project QA personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture / Marine and Offshore / Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• Familiar with loop test, hi pot test, mechanical completion checks ITR
• API 570. CWSIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector
• Reports non-conformance and issues improvement note, where necessary
• Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least 3 years of relevant Quality Assurance working experience, preferably in the offshore and marine industry
