Manage statutory processes including Water Industry Act (WIA), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO), Development Consent Orders (DCO), and Transport & Works Act Orders (TWAO)
Management and development of a team of early career professionals providing both technical training and career development support
Lead a project team for the acquisition of land rights, wayleaves, and easements for major projects.
Successfully led a technical team of land consultants to deliver land consenting or land assembly services on water or infrastructure projects
Ensure that WSP H&S procedures are adhered to for all site work
Contribute to business development and the delivery of the business strategy
Project Management of Land projects on time, within budget and to high standards
Work closely with Land team colleagues and collaborate with WSP teams in the engineering, environmental, and planning disciplines
Liaise with key stakeholders and landowners as well as land agents, auctioneers, legal representatives, planning authorities, contractors and clients
Negotiate Heads of Terms and compensation settlements with landowners and their agents
Prepare and review consent documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance

Strong knowledge and experience of UK statutory consent requirements, such as the WIA, Hybrid Bill, DCO, CPO, and Vesting Orders as well as an understanding of the land and property industry would be beneficial
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment on major infrastructure projects in multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, landowners and client at all levels
Good commercial awareness with an understanding of budget, scope, change control and other project management activities
Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to liaise at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders
A full driving licence is required
General IT skills, Microsoft Office suite including Teams, and strong skills with GIS/mapping tools
Demonstrable experience of reducing land risk for clients and advising them on land related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycles
Ideally have experience of managing land projects in the water industry
