Description

• Conduct on‑site property inspections to assess disaster damage and identify hazards
• Evaluate damage types and severity, including hidden issues
• Prepare accurate Xactimate cost estimates for mitigation and restoration work
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters, providing detailed estimates and supporting documentation
• Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost‑effective mitigation
• Maintain detailed records and generate clear reports on scope, costs, and timelines
• Communicate mitigation plans and progress to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
• Coordinate with mitigation crews and project managers to execute plans efficiently

Requirements

DRYmedic® is seeking a Mitigation Estimator to assess and estimate costs for mitigating damages caused by disasters such as water, fire, mold, or other emergencies. The role requires keen attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and restoration teams to evaluate damage and propose effective mitigation solutions.

• Proven property assessment and mitigation estimation experience in disaster restoration
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes
• Proficiency with Xactimate estimation software
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail‑oriented and highly organized
• IICRC certification required
