- Understand and adhere to policies and procedures and champion the VPI purchasing common processes. Lead product benchmarking in support of VPI integrators to develop analysis and proposals.
- Engagement in design and process responsibilities to achieve most cost-effective products, prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior purchasing/sourcing leaders.
- Procures inventory, supplies, and capital goods, obtains quotations, and raises orders on vendors and expedites orders to ensure that they are delivered on time in full.
- Analyze sourcing and purchasing initiatives, follows processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services. Conducts minor supplier negotiations.
- Analyze sourcing information and present finding for cost reduction, process improvement while maintaining a high-quality product and delivery of service both within the function and customers both internal and external.
- Purchasing assigned items and executes buying strategies set out by the function at optimum cost and lead times and supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, process analysis, market and industry research, model building.
