Understand and adhere to policies and procedures and champion the VPI purchasing common processes. Lead product benchmarking in support of VPI integrators to develop analysis and proposals.
Engagement in design and process responsibilities to achieve most cost-effective products, prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior purchasing/sourcing leaders.
Procures inventory, supplies, and capital goods, obtains quotations, and raises orders on vendors and expedites orders to ensure that they are delivered on time in full.
Analyze sourcing and purchasing initiatives, follows processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services. Conducts minor supplier negotiations.
Analyze sourcing information and present finding for cost reduction, process improvement while maintaining a high-quality product and delivery of service both within the function and customers both internal and external.
Purchasing assigned items and executes buying strategies set out by the function at optimum cost and lead times and supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, process analysis, market and industry research, model building.
