Construction Superintendent

Description

• Provide full on-site leadership and oversight of daily construction activities, including site logistics, temporary facilities, and coordination of material deliveries
• Coordinate and manage inspections with local authorities, fire marshals, building departments, and third-party testing agencies to ensure full code compliance
• Implement and monitor project-specific safety and compliance requirements, including Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) when applicable
• Lead weekly field coordination and foreman meetings to align trade sequencing, site access, laydown areas, and upcoming critical path activities
• Develop, maintain, and actively manage short-term and master schedules, including 3-week look-ahead planning, to ensure all subcontractors meet required milestones
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts by inspecting work in place to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and craftsmanship standards prior to concealment
• Enforce site safety standards by serving as the primary on-site safety lead, conducting toolbox talks, ensuring OSHA compliance, and maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe practices

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling methodologies, and constructability planning
• Proven experience leading field operations on commercial construction projects, with a strong background in healthcare, light industrial, or complex interior build-outs
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and maintain productive working relationships
• High level of technical proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications
• Hands-on experience utilizing field technology and project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and tablet-based reporting tools
• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to prevent schedule delays, safety incidents, or quality deficiencies
