market trends
Identify and define the scope for MV/LV switchgear, control panels, and associated components to align with R&D standardization goals.
Engage with Marketing and Technology teams to identify market trends and support new project proposals.
Perform advanced move operations using:
Use NX journals (macros) for automating body renaming and repetitive tasks (training provided).
Develop mechanical modelling concepts for switchgear in both 3D and 2D according to NEMA standards.
Ensure accuracy in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and sheet-metal structural design.
Create, configure, and modify parts using NX 3D, including sheet metal and solid body modelling.
Apply alternative modelling approaches when synchronous tools are insufficient, including:
Apply synchronous modelling tools:
Collaborate with Project Management to ensure a clear and effective project handover.
Use NX's measuring tools to determine perpendicular distances, coordinate distances (X, Y, Z), and other key references.
Use the Clearance Browser to identify soft gaps and hard interferences and confirm touch conditions.
Convert components from assemblies to local bodies using Promote Body and Extract Geometry.
Prepare BOMs, layout drawings, and specification review documents.
Correct and convert sheet bodies to solid bodies as needed.
Work closely with engineering teams to create and refine technical design solutions for Siemens product portfolios.
Execute independent NX modelling and deliver high-quality mechanical desi.
Group bodies and edit body groups as part of the simplification workflow.
