Description

The Maintenance Technician ensures residents have a safe, comfortable, and attractive living environment by keeping all electrical and mechanical equipment functional, performing timely repairs, and addressing structural issues promptly. Consistent attendance is essential because the role directly impacts workflow and team communication.

• Responds to resident service calls for plumbing repairs, tile installation/repair, drywall installation/repair, and electrical switch repairs.
• Performs occasional tasks such as fence mending, HVAC and refrigeration assistance, key cutting, trash pickup, lawn care, swimming‑pool cleaning, and carpet shampooing.
• Work schedule may include rotating after‑hours emergency response on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Requires ability to read and write English.
• Requires prior mechanical aptitude and experience.
• Valid driver’s license (if operating a vehicle) required.
• Holds EPA Freon Recovery and HVAC certifications and current Fair Housing certification.
• Preferred: advanced training from a mechanical or technical trade program.
• Preferred: experience as a Service Manager for a multi‑unit property.
• Physical duties include walking, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs or ladders, heavy lifting, and exposure to inclement weather, noise, dust, heat, chemicals, and mechanical equipment.
