Chemical Processor Manager

Description

• Participates in customer, third-party and industry audits.
• Reads blueprints and develops process instructions and masking techniques based on blueprint requirements.
• Provide quotes to customers.
• Aide in QA/QC Issues/Problems as needed.
• Design, develop, and implement new and improved processes
• Conduct test to evaluate the efficiency of the process.
• Manage daily activities and costs associated with the department.
• Design, develop and implement new and improved processes
• Must be able to assist in NADCAP preparation and audits.
• Perform personnel performance appraisals
• Develop tools and fixtures to improve quality and throughput in production.
• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating work activities in production.
• Generates purchase requisition forms for supplies, repairs and/or required maintenance.
• Complete all required training, and testing, within company guidelines.
• Manage daily activities and costs associated within department.
• Supervise individuals within the Chemical Processing Department as it relates to projects and responding to calls from
• Perform Safety Audits
• Handle employee disputes/complaints/comments/requests.
• Provide mentor leadership to employees.
• Serve as liaison with customers to estimate and quote project work.
• Recommend corrective or remedial action for employees.

Requirements

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Problem solving and providing clear, supported and concise recommendation to management.
• Stormwater Permits
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure
• Skilled in developing air quality permits, stormwater permits, and wastewater permit applications.
• Knowledge of all company services that are available to our customers.
• Working knowledge of Passivation, Pickle/Etch, Anodizing, Chemical Film Conversion Coatings, and Coatings Application .
• 3-5 years of management experience.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High school diploma and two to five years of related experience and /or training
• Must have strong customer relation skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to mitigate emotional customer and employee situations.
• EHS Management Systems and Record keeping.
• Proficiency with word processing software, spreadsheet software, email software, and the use of the internet.
• Working knowledge of Passivation, Pickle/Etch, Anodizing, Chemical Film Conversion Coatings, and Coatings Application.
• Strong communication skills to promote a good team environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Due Diligence
• College course work is highly desirable, but not required.
• Adept at building relationships with vendors and ensuring compliance across industries.
