Conducting competence assessments to ensure safe and compliant operational performance

Supervising and monitoring colleagues during training to ensure safety and performance standards

Supporting the development of training programmes for new and existing wastewater treatment roles

Advising on the creation and management of technical Standard Operating Procedures, Asset Care Plans, and Health & Safety procedures

Maintaining relationships with accrediting bodies like Energy & Utility Skills

Capturing and acting on delegate feedback to continuously improve training delivery

This is a hands-on, specialist role where you’ll design and deliver high-impact training programmes that ensure our colleagues are safe, competent and confident in their roles.

Designing and delivering blended learning solutions mapped to water industry frameworks and regulatory requirements

Collaborating with Health & Safety partners and subject matter experts to review and enhance training content

Building training plans that cover both initial and refresher needs across the business

Producing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment criteria for internal programmes

What you bring

Demonstrable experience in Wastewater Treatment operations

Familiarity with competence frameworks and regulatory standards

Time-served or qualified to BTEC, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent level

Excellent communication skills across all levels of experience

Experience developing and assessing technical competence and training content

Working towards or holding a recognised teaching or assessor qualification

Strong knowledge of technical and health & safety requirements across wastewater roles
