The role involves assisting in the design of discipline‑specific systems according to code and IMEG standards, researching and sourcing project resources, and supporting client relations through design notebooks and documentation. Interns will coordinate schedules with other disciplines and suppliers, document design decisions and meetings, review project documents for accuracy, prepare addenda, and conduct site observations as required by contract.
IMEG offers an immediate 10–12 week Structural Engineering Internship in Pasadena, CA. Interns will gain real‑world experience by contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for buildings and other structures. Working alongside seasoned engineers, interns will manage tasks within project budgets and see how their work supports client goals while building a professional network.
Candidates must have completed at least two years toward a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering and preferably have prior internship experience in building‑design consulting. Strong interest in design consulting, proficiency with the MS Office suite, and skills in AutoCAD or BIM software are required, along with clear oral and written communication abilities. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, varying with experience, and may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
