Key duties involve ensuring OSHA and company safety standards are met, conducting regular site inspections, coaching employees on PPE and safe practices, providing safety instruction for new hires, investigating accidents and near‑misses, and preparing monthly safety reports. The coordinator will also plan and host safety meetings, assist the General Manager with the annual Safety Day, and stay current on safety laws and industry best practices.
We are seeking a highly motivated Area Safety Coordinator to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and a productive team player with strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of construction safety practices. Candidates must have at least five years of construction safety experience, or three years plus a bachelor’s degree in construction management or occupational health, and must hold or obtain OSHA 510 (and later OSHA 500) certification within six months. Travel within the Asheville service area is required.
