The Cybersecurity Architecture and OT Manager is accountable for defining and leading the secure architecture for both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, including ICS, SCADA, and DCS systems. The role is responsible for developing secure-by-design architectures, managing architectural governance, securing converged IT/OT systems, and ensuring compliance with critical infrastructure protection standards. It provides architectural leadership across enterprise and industrial systems, driving secure digital transformation.

To support secure design, architecture review, and implementation of cybersecurity controls across IT and OT environments, ensuring alignment with regulatory, business, and technical requirements.
The Cybersecurity Architecture and OT Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure enterprise and operational technology (OT) architectures. This role bridges IT and OT cybersecurity, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded into systems architecture and operations.
- Develop secure reference architecture and security zones for OT/ICS
- Lead cybersecurity architecture design for IT and OT environments
- Act as a technical advisor to leadership on OT cyber risks and controls
- Oversee OT asset inventory, segmentation, and security zoning strategies.
- Establish a secure architecture reference model tailored to OT/ICS environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and guide secure adoption (e.g., IIoT, 5G in OT).
- Oversee security design in digital and infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with industrial security standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST 800-82)
- Represent cybersecurity in major digital transformation or critical infrastructure projects.
- Manage collaboration between cybersecurity, IT, engineering, and operations
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity architecture standards across IT and OT systems.
- Lead cybersecurity architecture design reviews for new projects and technologies.
- Define and govern architecture standards and reviews
- Ensure OT systems align with NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement cybersecurity controls.
- Drive secure configuration baselines for ICS/SCADA/DCS systems.
- Manage architecture governance boards and design approvals.

MINIMUM YEARSEXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR JOB ROLE
MINIMUM YEARS OF MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE
- Well-organized in managing architectural standards and reference models.
- Industry certifications: TOGAF, SABSA, IEC 62443, CISSP, or GICSP.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical/Control Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- MS Proficiency: Visio (architecture diagrams), Excel, PowerPoint.
- Self-initiator and proactive in adopting secure-by-design practices.
- Deep knowledge and experience in ICS/SCADA cybersecurity and architecture frameworks.
- 3+ years managing architecture teams and/or critical systems security.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture and OT security.
- Flexibility to work in field operations and across IT/OT environments.
