Ecological Studies: Design and conduct studies on key ecological issues to support public and private sector clients.
Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive studies and technical reports, including environmental impact statements and assessments.
Client Engagement: Work closely with clients and help them navigate complex environmental challenges.
Field Surveys & Assessments: Conduct natural resource surveys including wetland delineations, wildlife habitat evaluations, and rare species surveys.
Project Management: Establish and track project milestones and business goals, manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables, and supervise junior staff.
Permitting & Compliance: Develop federal, state, and local permit applications and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Client Communication: Maintain ongoing dialog with clients to keep them apprised of project status and any changes in conditions.

Technical Skills: Experience in plant species identification and soil characterization in the Northeast, and the ability to identify and describe wildlife habitats and ecological communities.
Experience: 3-5 years of professional environmental consulting experience required
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal wetland regulations, land use environmental regulations, and environmental permitting.
Proficiency in collaborative problem-solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Soil Science, or a related field required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Team-oriented with the capability to motivate and mentor others.
Fieldwork: Ability and willingness to work in physically challenging outdoor situations in all weather conditions, with regular travel to project sites in southern New England.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
