As a Safety Specialist for the Montrose Air Quality Services Stack Division, you will report to the Safety Director and support the health and safety team in maintaining day‑to‑day safety performance across U.S. operations. The role requires flexibility to share duties and projects based on need, working closely with operations management to ensure high safety standards at customer sites such as refineries, chemical plants, and power plants.
- Build relationships with the Safety Director and MAQS Operations Management to achieve high safety performance.
- Drive standardization of HSE practices across teams for continuous improvement.
- Provide HSE support at customer sites including refineries, chemical plants, power plants, and testing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, customer, and company regulations.
- Conduct written program audits, track action items to closure, and assist local offices.
- Inspect workplace environments to verify OSHA and local compliance.
- Measure and report KPIs, utilizing HSE systems to improve performance.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and develop corrective actions.
- Create safety communications such as flashes, toolbox talks, posters, and newsletters.
- Develop and deliver HSE training modules.
- Manage driver safety dashboards, asset lists, training, and periodic audits.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks promptly.

- Physical ability to climb ladders, work at heights, wear a respirator, and navigate uneven surfaces.
