The role oversees the development and execution of safety strategic goals for market areas generating $400 million or more in revenue, providing budgetary guidance aligned with WM Safety Services.
The incumbent collaborates with corporate and market leadership to align safety objectives and manages the DriveCam system for analysis, reporting, and coaching. They lead the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention program, oversee safety communications, incident investigations, district‑specific safety plans, hazardous energy control, regulatory compliance, facility safety audits, recognition programs, employee health initiatives, PPE procurement, and develop safety talent.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree (or a high school diploma/GED) plus four years of relevant experience and seven to ten years in safety or operations management; preferred credentials include CSP, CIH, PE, QEP, REM, and CHMM certifications.
