The Role

Overview

Design and engineer civil/landscape projects for commercial, residential, and municipal sites.

Tasks

-Contribute to proposal writing and project marketing efforts, as needed -Support all phases of project development, including conceptual design, construction documentation, and project administration. -Assist in the design and development of site plans, landscape plans, grading plans and illustrative graphics for parks, streetscapes, trail systems, civic spaces, and commercial developments -Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers on design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest. -Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc. -Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and present design solutions -Conduct site analysis, research local codes, and assist in project permitting

What You Bring

-Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills -Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, LandFX, Adobe suite, SketchUp or other modeling programs required. -Experience in design and plan preparations. -Bachelors or higher in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineer (preferred) -At least 5 years of related experience -EIT required for engineering applications or PLA[CO1] [KW2] licensure in the state of Ohio required. Ability to obtain PE/PLA within 1 year of hire.
